Usage info

The admin.slackbot.skills.publish API method publishes one to 50 canvas skills to the organization's official catalog. The caller must be an org admin or owner, using a user token from an org-level installation of the app on an Enterprise organization. Workspace-level installations can't be granted the admin.skills:read or admin.skills:write scopes, and calls from teams outside an Enterprise organization return not_an_enterprise. Publishing an invite-only skill shares its canvas, including its instructions, with the whole organization.

Duplicate IDs in skill_ids count toward the limit of 50 but are processed once, in the order they first appear. Missing, deleted, and non-skill files, and skills from other organizations, all fail with skill_not_found.

If a skill canvas isn't already shared with the whole organization, publishing grants org-wide read access. Existing org-wide access levels are kept. This requires the caller to have permission to edit and share that canvas; otherwise the skill fails with restricted_action.

Publishing doesn't auto-enable a skill; use the admin.slackbot.skills.setAutoEnabled API method for that.

Skills that are already published succeed, and each skill is processed independently. If any fail, the method returns failed_for_some_skills with a failed_skills array of { skill_id, error } objects, and the skills that succeeded stay published. If sharing succeeds but publication fails, the org-wide access remains and you can retry the request.
